Traditional Art / Drawings / Animals

The first in my hopes of portraying a dark side to all 12 zodiac signs. Wish me luck!

Aries- March 21-April 20

Aries is most often portrayed as a golden ram in most images, and the original story behind Aries is that of a golden ram. Aries color is Red, and govern the head area.

In these, I want to portray as much as I can about each sign, and show the weakened areas. The area a sign governs, is where a person of that sign is most likely to have health issues, according to astrology.

This is a 14X17 piece, so a photo will have to suffice as my scanner isn't even half of this. XD;;
This was drawn, then inked, and colored in watercolor completely. Let's hope I can keep my stamina to complete the next 11!

The amount of detail you put into this is amazing!

I love the painterly style ... watercolors just have something so ethereal about them! Seriously, with a style like this you could illustrate storybooks. Very good job!!

The only bad thing about how I did this was how warped my paper became from all of the water I applied before the color even. Hopefully it will straighten out.

I think it'll straighten out after some time.
Most of the stuff I've water colored in my life did. ((Few things))
I heard taping it down to a table as you work on it keeps it from buckling, but not 100%. So I think it should flatten out.

That's good! It seems like traditional art has a bunch of neat little tricks to it ... I never would have thought of taping it down!

I suppose it would work in logic. Its just a matter of having an area big enough to tape it down without ruining a desk surface as well. And I turn my pages so much. XDD;
